When a foundation settles, the fix is to get it back onto ground that can hold it. We connect you with licensed local contractors who drive steel push piers or helical piers to stable soil, stabilize the settling section, and recover elevation where the house allows.

Settling happens when the soil under part of the footing can no longer carry the load. Piering fixes it by reaching past that weak soil. Signs it's time:
Steel piers hydraulically driven straight down under the footing until they hit soil strong enough to carry the load. Best for heavier structures.
Screwed into the ground like a large screw, ideal for lighter loads and softer soils. Installed with less vibration.
Once piers reach stable ground, the contractor secures the foundation and attempts to lift the settled section back toward level, as far as the structure safely allows.
For a sagging floor over a crawl space, adjustable steel jacks and new supports re-level the floor above.
